North Central Michigan College’s Luncheon Lecture will feature Stephen Brede and his 3,800-mile paddle on Friday, April 1. The luncheon will be in the Library conference room. Lunch begins at 11:30 a.m. and the program begins at noon.
Over the course of six summers, Brede paddled his Kruger Canoe “Seaweed” around the shorelines of all five Great Lakes. He will talk about the challenges of paddling and camping along his solo voyage, and describe the amazing places, people and animals he encountered along the diverse coasts of the world’s largest group of freshwater lakes.
