Great Lakes Chamber Orchestra presents: Angels & Demons

GLCO and award-winning Crooked Tree Arts Center dancers from its School of Ballet on stage at the Great Lakes Center for the Arts October 27, 2019- 7 p.m. in a remarkable collaboration, featuring a musical vignette based on Edgar Allan Poe’s book, “Mask of the Red Death.” Also featured, Schubert’s "Death and the Maiden," which continues to be called one of the “pillars of the chamber music repertoire,” Finally, Ravel’s work, "Pavane for a Dead Infanta," belies its actual inspiration: far from about death, the piece is not mournful, but more of fantasy, and could be titled, "Pavane for a Princess from a Faraway Time."
