First Fridays for Foodies: Farm to Table with Blackbird Gardens
Mike Everts has operated Real Food Dream Kitchen and Blackbird Gardens just west of Petoskey for the past 29 years. His mission over the years has been to help build a strong, local food network through active participation both as a producer and caterer. To source as much clean, locally produced food as possible has been his goal. To actually walk the walk, not just talk the talk. Thanks to his dedication, he has remained ahead of the curve with Farm to Table and Local Foods Catering, providing this alternative service to food conscious families and community members young and old. Mike is also a reoccurring vendor at CTAC’s weekly Artisans & Farmers Market, providing the Petoskey community with his fresh produce.
Crooked Tree Arts Center and the Petoskey District Library will present “First Friday for Foodies” culinary series in CTAC’s newly renovated commercial kitchen between 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM.
